This is a picture of Mr. and Mrs. White, one of the first couples that Vicki Morrison and I delivered a basket to for the tornado victims. Trisha Pace and her girls have also had the privilege of delivering baskets, which was a real blessing to them.
For a couple of days I had a basket ready to deliver in my van. I wasn't sure who I was going to give it to. I knew that a family had moved back into their home on Sheila Blvd., so one day I decided to go ahead and stop at their house. When I knocked on the door a young girl about 14 or 15 years old came to the door. I told her that I was so excited to see that her family had moved back and that I was from Fountain of Grace church, there to deliver them a basket. Then I looked at her face and I very solemnly said, "I remember you. I remember you sitting in front of your house with a look of despair. Your house was gone. I was walking down the street and I saw your face. I'm so glad you're back home." What a blessing to me to be able to deliver that basket to that girl and her family.
Keep bringing in some goodies for these families. And thanks to all who have contributed to the baskets.
